The City sends out an electronic newsletter (e-News) on Mondays and Fridays, and otherwise as needed for special announcements and crime alerts.
Use our online form to sign up to receive the City E-News.
The City considers all requested E-News entries that aim to promote City events, organizations, community endeavors and the like. If you'd like to request a City E-News entry, please read the following guidelines and email Communications Manager Debbie Revzin with all required information. If this is your first time requesting an E-News entry, please include your organization’s address, phone number, website and Facebook page (if applicable).
The Monday E-News goes out every Monday on or before 5 p.m. Deadline for content: noon every Friday. The Monday E-News includes City and community news and spotlights events being held that week. A "Coming Up" section at the bottom includes links to events that are over one week away.
The Weekend E-News goes out at 6 a.m. every Friday and is generally only for events occurring that weekend. Deadline for content: noon every Thursday.
If you're a business owner who would like to promote new hours, offerings, etc., the City will typically run that once in the Monday E-News.
Please include the event address (if different from your business address), event date and time (if applicable), and website/Facebook or phone number for people to find out more information.
E-News entry word count should be under 150 words. Please keep it brief and catchy.
First person pronouns (I, me, my, mine, we, us, our, ours) will generally be changed to third-person (he, she, it, its, him, her, his, hers, they, them, their, theirs).
