Backdoor Garbage Collection Restarts August 3

Effective August 3, 2020 there are several updates and changes taking place regarding sanitation pickup.


  • Backdoor sanitation collection will be operational again as of Monday, August 3, 2020. This does not include Wednesday’s recycling pickup that is curbside only.

  • In the Central Business District, only waste in City-issued cans will be collected.

  •  Special pick up items will now be assessed a fee of $50 for the first ton and an additional $50 beyond that. The following items will not be picked up by the City: construction materials or debris, stumps, rocks, dirt, concrete products, automobile bodies and parts, tires, paint, oil, and other liquids.
