Newsletter

News from the City

"News from City Hall," the city's bimonthly newsletter, is published six times a year on odd months. The newsletter was created to regularly share information from City Hall with the community. It is a vehicle for the Board of Mayor and Commissioners and the city manager to:

  • share information relevant to issues discussed, actions taken and plans made by city leadership,
  • share newsworthy information about our residents and businesses, and
  • provide information on scheduled city events.

Submitting an Article

The city welcomes submissions from city organizations, nonprofits and schools that provide relevant information to the members of the Avondale Estates community. As a courtesy to the clubs and organizations that civically operate in the city, a brief notice of their activities may be included as space permits.

Use this form to submit your E-News and print newsletter articles. Submissions to the print newsletter are due on the fourteenth day of even months (February, April, June, August, October, and December). High-resolution graphics and photos may be uploaded along with the copy. Flyers will not be accepted – please see the information below on advertising in the newsletter.

Have suggestions for an article? Please email the communications team.

The production team reserves the right to refuse submissions and to edit copy in regard to space appropriateness and cost considerations. The city newsletter is not a forum for opinion pieces or for political speech.
