The City of Avondale Estates seeks to regain its title as Best Small-Town Beer Scene in the nation. Selected by a panel of experts, Avondale Estates is one of 20 cities with less than 30,000 residents chosen to compete as a finalist in the USA TODAY’s 10 Best Small Town Beer Scene 2025 competition. The city took home the title three years in a row from 2021 through 2023, but fell to second place in 2024. 

While smaller than many of its fellow nominees, Avondale Estates, the only Georgia city nominated, has a thriving and growing beer scene with its award-winning, innovative breweries such as Little Cottage Brewery, The Lost Druid Brewery and Distillery and Wild Heaven, as well as comic book store and taproom My Parents' Basement. These craft beer establishments have put Avondale Estates on the map with their unique blends of flavor, food offerings and comradery that have people coming back for more. Eateries and entertainment spots such as Arepa Mia, Avondale Pizza Café/O'Keefe's Pub, Kafenio, Little Hippo, NiteOwl, Rising Son, Santo Cantina and Cocina, Savage Pizza, The Stratford Pub and Vietvana are also sharing popular brews that patrons love to drink while sharing a meal, watching sports or just relaxing.
