[ARCHIVED] RSVP for Sept. 14 Education Town Hall

What: Education Town Hall Meeting

When: Thursday, September 14, from 6-7:30 p.m.

Where: First Baptist Church of Avondale Estates, 47 Covington Hwy, Avondale Estates

Hosted by the Avondale Estates Ad Hoc Committee for Education and moderated by DeKalb County School District (DCSC) Board member Dr. Michael Erwin, this town hall style event will feature important information for parents and guardians of children six and under. Scheduled speakers include principals from Avondale Elementary School, DeKalb Elementary School of the Arts, The Museum School of Avondale Estates, as well as an official with the DeKalb School Choice Program.

The meeting will provide an opportunity to learn more about available public elementary school options with the DCSD. Families with children six and under, in the Avondale Elementary School attendance zone and surrounding area, are especially encouraged to participate.

The evening will provide speakers a chance to highlight the goals, successes and challenges of each school while also allowing time to answer questions. In addition to the event being family friendly, onsite childcare will also be provided so as many parents as possible can attend. A small reception with refreshments will be held after the Town Hall.

Make informed decisions about your child's elementary education. RSVP today!
